West Highland Way Challenge: 96 Miles, 5 Days, One Incredible Team

Two weeks ago, our dedicated team of fundraisers took on the 96-mile West Highland Way, travelling from Milngavie to Fort William in just five days. With most walkers completing the route in seven days or more, this was a truly outstanding achievement.

Along the way, the team faced a variety of conditions—from gentle countryside paths to challenging Highland terrain, and even Storm Dave. Throughout it all, they demonstrated remarkable resilience, determination and teamwork.

We would like to congratulate Tim, Rachael, Phil, Martyn, Lisa, Gayle, Amy, Charlie, Jo and Sarah, with support from Kim and Sarah. As well as completing this incredible challenge, they gave up their Easter weekend and dedicated many hours to training in the lead-up.

Together, the team has already raised over £8,700 for our Woodstock ’26 Festival through online donations and corporate sponsorship—and the total continues to grow. Each participant self-funded their place, meaning that every penny raised will go directly towards supporting our pupils.

Thank you to everyone who has donated and supported the campaign, and to our generous corporate sponsors: South East Water, Humidity Response Ltd, JEM Construction, Mobile Pools UK Ltd, Superfast Labels Ltd, Mindflick, KMTV and Costa Coffee. Your support has been instrumental in making this possible.

We are also delighted to share that KMTV will be producing a documentary following the team’s journey. The film will capture not only the physical challenge, but also the personal stories behind it and the wider purpose of supporting Woodstock and our school community.

This is an inspiring achievement by an exceptional team—well done to everyone involved.
