IQM National Inclusion Champion – Winner

As an IQM (Inclusion Quality Mark) Flagship school, Five Acre Wood School was invited to apply for the ‘IQM National Champions Award’.  Eight winners have been announced across the UK.  We are delighted to share the news that Five Acre Wood School is one of the winning schools, as we have ‘demonstrated excellence when it comes to inclusive practice’ and have ‘created a welcoming school where diversity is cherished and celebrated’.  As a school, we are looking forward to working with other schools to spread the message of inclusion and share our inclusive practices across the UK.

Joe McCann, CEO of IQM, extended his congratulations and explained ‘These eight schools exemplify everything IQM stands for.  We are looking forward to working with each of you over the next 12 months to help share and promote inclusivity in schools all over the country.  This award was open to schools which hold IQM Flagship status and we were astounded with the number and quality of entries submitted.  We received entries from right across the UK and we would like to say a massive ‘thank you’ to everyone who took the time to enter.  We admire your passion when it comes to inclusion and the creativity you showed in creating some amazing videos.  We can’t wait to see what you do next!’
