FAWbulous Bus

Our double-decker soft play bus is a truly unique addition to Five Acre Wood School, made possible through the generous donation from Nu-Venture and the incredible support of our trustees, fundraisers and wider community.

Purposefully designed for pupils with a wide range of needs—including physical, sensory and cognitive—the bus provides a safe, inclusive environment where children can play, explore and develop. Across its two levels, this innovative space supports physical development, encourages social interaction and promotes emotional wellbeing.

The project began when Mr Kemp, owner of Nu-Venture, officially handed over the vehicle to the school. Since then, it has become a symbol of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared vision.

Beyond play, the bus is also opening up exciting opportunities. In partnership with Nu-Venture, we are exploring ways to help our pupils build confidence when using public transport, while contributing to wider conversations about making travel more accessible for individuals with additional needs.

With four wheels, two levels and endless possibilities, our soft play bus is more than just a facility—it’s a space where our pupils can play, laugh and grow.
