Five Acre Wood School Reaccredited with the Leading Parent Partnership Award
Five Acre Wood School is proud to announce that it has once again been successfully reaccredited with the Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) — recognising the school’s ongoing dedication to fostering strong, positive relationships with parents and carers.
The national award celebrates schools that work effectively with families to support children’s learning and development. During the reassessment, the LPPA assessor praised Five Acre Wood’s ability to bring its strapline, “Together Stronger,” to life through its Trademark Behaviours, which are consistently promoted and shared with families.
The report highlighted the school’s tailored communication approaches, designed to meet the specific needs of parents and carers rather than being led solely by school priorities. In particular, the assessor commended the school’s Parent and Carer Communication Guidance as an example of best practice for ensuring consistent, high-quality engagement. Parents spoke highly of the multiple layers of communication that support them and their children — from the use of Microsoft Teams and home–school contact books to the wide range of developmental, support and social opportunities on offer. Inclusive family events and detailed transition materials for new starters were also recognised as key strengths, along with resources introducing the Family Support Team.
A standout feature in the report was the FAWrient Express Training Academy Café, described by the assessor as “an inspiring model of best practice for other schools.” The café offers parents a welcoming, professional space to connect with staff and each other, further strengthening parental and community engagement.
The reassessment also reaffirmed that the school’s unwavering commitment to its motto, “Pupils First,” remains at the heart of everything it does. Staff across all levels were praised for recognising that constructive engagement with parents not only supports pupils now but also enhances their future opportunities.
This successful reaccreditation reflects the dedication of the entire school community. Five Acre Wood School extends its thanks to all staff, parents and carers for their ongoing partnership and shared commitment to putting pupils first.
